1. Dec. 19, 2012 My name is Rupert Berryman and as Lieutenant Berryman in 1970 I was engineer officer of the watch when the fire occurred (in HMS Fife)- I can explain the details to him with some accuracy. I was also instrumental in putting the fire out and clearing up the mess in my engine room afterwards. Captain Scott was an excellent captain who took everything in his stride - I remember him fondly. Rupert Berryman |
