My father Wallace Harmon was on the Minot in the Battle of Okinawa.  Was curious if anyone knew him or had any stories to share about those days when the ship was hit by a suicide plane?  My dad was a radio operator.

Thanks,
Lisa Harmon

I am replying to Mr. A. J. (Sonny) Ravagni's message. My father, George RePinec, was also on the 4/12/45 trip. He was wounded that day. I'm wondering if he knew my Dad. I hope Mr. Ravagni is well; my Dad died 12 years ago. I would appreciate any information.

Thank You,
Christy RePinec

My father once told me that he was one of the radio operators on board the Minot Victory, his name was Jimmy Kurthy. I would like to know if anyone remembered him. He passed on in 1992.

Thank you,
Tina "Kurthy" Powers

I was so shocked to see picture of my old ship the MINOT VICTORY I have tried to find one forever. I was on the maiden trip we were at Okinawa April 12, 1945, A day I shall always remember. President Roosevelt died and we were hit by a Kamikaze plane..  don't know which was the news burned into my memory. Thanks for the photo.
