[This was true, HMS Belmont was sunk by U-82 off Halifax on Jan. 31. There were no survivors from the 138-man crew. That was the last ship sunk by U-82, which was attacked three times and was finally sunk, also with all hands on Feb. 6, trying to get back to France.] |
