Also note the report in column 3: "Japs Lose A Battleship"
(The claims of the successes achieved by the U.S. and Dutch forces in the Battle of Balikpapan get larger day by day. The first Japanese battleship sunk in the Second World War was the Hiei, which was sunk by U.S. aircraft on Nov. 13, 1942 during the First Naval Battle of Guadalcanal.)
Also note the report in column 2: "The Monster Is Censored"
