Note the report in columns 4-5: "Submarines Great Triumph In Arctic Sea - 8 Nazi Ships sunk: 4 More Probables"
(The Admiralty claims that two submarines [Trident and Tigris] had sunk or damaged 14 ships. The Admiralty credited Tigris with sinking five ships and damaging a sixth while crediting Trident with attacking eight, sinking three, probably sinking four others and damaging one. They do not give a date range for this, but make it sound as if this happened in one patrol. They were close to the truth. From Aug. 17 to Nov. 3, HM Submarines Tigris and Trident were operating in the Arctic. Tigris sank two ships, Haakon Jarl on Aug. 17 and Richard With on Sept. 13. Both were Norwegian ships under German control. I have no record of Tigris sinking any other ships in the Arctic.

Trident sank five ships and may have damaged a sixth. Two of these ships were carrying troops and there was a heavy loss of life, about 700 men between the two ships. Trident sank two other freighters and a submarine chaser, and may have damaged a second submarine chaser, but it is unclear to me which one it was.)

1. Erwiesenes Geheimbündnis London-Moskau seit 1940 - Edens Ableugnungsversuch lächerlich.
(Proven secret London-Moscow alliance since 1940 - Eden's attempt at denial ridiculous.)
