(Notice the paragraph "Jews Disappear" which states that six months previous, 50,000 Jews lived in Croatia, today, none of the can be found. Post war investigations found that of the 3,9000 Jews who lived in that area in 1941, only about 9,000 of them survived the war.)

(The figure comes from the Polish military headquarters in London, but it is greatly inflated. In the Polish campaign Germany just over 17,000 killed, 3,500 missing and about 30,000 wounded. The figures stated by the Poles were 90,000 killed and 200,000 wounded.)
