Launched Jan. 27, 1945 at the Maizuru Navy Yard the Matsu Class destroyer Enoki never saw service during
the war. While training on June 26, 1945 in Obama Bay east of Maizuru, Japan she hit a mine and sank, one day
short of five months after she was launched. The wreck was raised and scrapped.
