Daily Event for September 26, 2010

The Germans launched two U-boats on September 26, 1914, U-39 at Krupp's Germaniawerft and U-43 at the Kaiserliche Werft in Danzig. Between the two boats they sank over 200 ships totaling over half a million tons of shipping. The Allies never caught them and both were scrapped after the war.
