Spectators from all the Allied nations gathered on the deck of the USS Missouri BB-63 for the surrender ceremony.



Admiral Sir Bruce A. Fraser, G.C.B., K.C.B., K.B.E., C.B., O.B.E. (later 1st Baron Fraser of North Cape) boards the USS Missouri BB-63 for the surrender ceremony. USS Ancon AGC-4 can be seen in the background.



Lt. Commander William J. Kitchell leads General of the Army Douglas MacArthur and Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz to the table where the surrender will be signed.



The Japanese delegation arrives aboard the USS Missouri BB-63 to sign the surrender of the Japanese Empire.
