Sources differ as to the cause of the loss. Secondary sources indicate scuttled by the
crew at Palembang, Sumatra or bombed and sunk by Japanese aircraft either off Sumatra
or Singapore. I was not able to find any official or semi-official source which listed
the loss or cause.
