November 1956: Royal Marines embarking HMS Theseus during the Suez Crisis. "HMS Theseus was involved in the Suez Campaign in November-December 1956. Our role was to fly Royal Marines in and bring injured allies back to the ship for treatment of their wounds. From memory I think that 72 were treated and we had one burial at sea."
