I send you two photographs (showing below) of the breach mechanism of a 12 inch gun from the Indefatigable Class battlecruiser HMAS Australia. This mech is now located in the Australian War Memorial in Canberra. A few books stated that the Indefatigables were armed with the 50 cal 12 inch gun but the serial numbers show it was the Mk X 45 cal gun. The gun number looks like it has been changed.
