ZUM GEDENKEN AN DIE GEFALLENEN IN DEM GEFECHT AM RIO DE LA PLATA VOR PUNTA DEL ESTE AM
13. DEZEMBER 1939.

Translation:
"In Memory of the fallen crewmen of the Battle of the River Plate at  Punta del Este on December 13, 1939"
