The sign reads "Part of a secondary gun bulkhead taken from the wreck of the German Battleship Tirpitz,
sunk by Nos. 9 and 617 Squadrons on the 12th of November 1944 while the ship lay at anchor at Tromsø
in Norway. This bulkhead was presented to RAF Bomber Command by the Royal Norwegian Air Force to
commemorate the friendship and co-operation established during the Second World War."

at the RAF Museum in London, England.
