My grandfather, Otto Schmidt, served on the SMS Markgraf for some periode of the 1. WV. I know from postcards he send to the family, that he was on the ship on following dates;
1916-09-23 and 1917-12-26

Is there any chance to check up somewhere the totale periode he served this ship? Was he on board in the "Battle off Jutland 31.05 - 01.06 1916? I dont think he was an officer, just ordinary mariner.
