June 2008: The remains launch site of the Great Eastern at Millwall, London. The construction of the site is
described as "2 timber cradles, which rested on 120 iron rollers, placed across 160 railway rails, supported
on a 2 foot layer of concrete, which imbedded 2,000 timber piles driven 30 feet through the mud to the
gravel base of the Thames."
This appears to be all that remains of one of the cradles.
