Overview of the Irving Veterans Memorial Park, in the foreground is the Perpetual River of Freedom, this runs down into the Pool of Hope.

 

The central area of the memorial. The Wall of Commemoration is the centerpiece, this lists the names of Irving residents who lost their lives in service to the nation. Behind it is the Plaza of Flags. The common area in the center is called the Plaza of the World and is a large world map. Dispersed throughout the plaza are bronze medallions which mark a spot on the map where the U. S. has been engaged in a major conflict.
