Helensburgh, NSW, Australia

The Helensburgh War Memorial located within the Charles Harper Park in the town of Helensburgh, south of Sydney. This memorial commemorates all those from the Helensburgh district who have served. The park is named in honour of Charles Harper, manager of the nearby Metropolitan Coal Company's colliery, who was accidentally killed at the colliery on 04 August 1888, just 4 years after establishment of the town and coal mine. A nearby memorial in his honour is situated within the park.
