(The unnamed ship was the 11,999-ton tanker Athelcrown, which was sunk by U-82 on Jan. 22, 1942. Five men were lost in the ship.)

(The report has the name of the commanding officer spelled incorrectly, Lt. Cdr. Hiram Cassedy, was commanding officer of USS Searaven SS-196 when he accomplished this feat.)
Also note the report in column 5: "Germans Lose 10,000,000"
(The claim made by Moscow, was very exaggerated. While sources differ, most indicate that the war in the east cost about 1.1 million dead, 1 million missing and taken prisoner and about 3.5 million sick and wounded. This figure is for the entire war, not just the year mentioned in the report.)
