Note the report in columns 4-6: "Ninth Sub Believed Sunk Off Coast"
(They are including the four midget submarines sunk in the Sydney Harbour attack, which makes the total of Japanese submarines sunk off Australia, four. Not a single fleet submarine had been sunk off the Australian coast, in fact, the Japanese did not lose a single fleet submarine, for any reason, in June of 1942.)

Note the report in column 3: "Jew Is Marked Man Where Nazism Rules - Sadistic Cruelty Marks Treatment"
(And yet people say, "we didn't know.")
Also note the report in column 1: "Midway Victory Saved Hawaii From Invasion"
(This may have been a legitimate belief by some, but we know that the invasion of the Hawaiian Islands was never the objective of the Japanese.)
Also note the report in column 5: "Mason Tells How Enemy Sub Was Sunk"
(Ens. Donald F. Mason of "sighted sub, sank same" fame tells how he sank a German U-boat. Unless this is the story of how he sank U-503, it was just not true. When he sent his famous message in late January of 1942, he had sunk no U-boat. In fact, no U-boats had been sunk by U.S. forces until Mar. 1, 1942. He did sink U-503 on Mar. 15th and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, presumably for sinking two U-boats.)

(The Navy officially denied that Japanese forces had occupied any island in the Aleutians, even though the Navy knew very well that both Attu and Kiska islands hade indeed been occupied by the Japanese.)
Also note the report in columns 3-4: "Axis Sub Ruthlessly Shells New England Fishing Boats"
(The unidentified boats are the Aeolus and the Ben & Josephine. Both were sunk, thankfully there were no deaths. On Apr. 5, 1945 WBZ radio in Boston aired a story on this event. You can hear it here.)
