(The false report of a U.S. battleship being sunk by an Italian submarine in the newspaper for the third day in a row. This time, the report states that 50 survivors were picked up by the Argentine steamer Rio Iguazu.)

(I have no record of any submarine being sunk on that date for any reason.
A report in the San Mateo Times states that two U.S. bombers sank a German U-boat off the coast of Brazil. The report was false.)
