Note the report in column 5: "Gen. Homma Still Alive, Tokio Radio Indicates"
(A number of erroneous reports led MacArthur to believe that Lt. General Masahara Homma had committed suicide in March. He had not, and it would be Homma who Lt. General Wainwright, [mentioned above] would surrender to in May. Homma was executed on Apr. 3, 1946 for war crimes, specifically for being in command of the Bataan Death March, in which over 5,500 American prisoners died.)

(Lt. Edward Henry O'Hare, USN, credited with shooting down 5 enemy aircraft when they attacked USS Lexington CV-2. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for this action. O'Hare was killed on Nov. 26, 1943 when his aircraft was shot down. USS O'Hare DD-889 and Chicago's O'Hare airport were named in his honor.)
Also note the report in columns 6-7: "Body Of Tanker Engineer Washes On Florida Shores, Family Is Told"
(Mr. Sanders was a crewman on the Gulfamerica, which was sunk by U-123 on Apr. 10, 1942. Eighteen other men were also lost in the ship.)
