Note the report in column 3: "U-Boats' Outrage"
(The account of the sinking of the Spanish ship Badalona was described by the U-Boat commander in different terms. His war diary states that the ship would not stop when ordered to and therefore forfeited its neutrality by breaking the prize rules. Which story is true, well...)

Note the report in column 6: "Lost Six Million In Russia"
(The Russians, as usual, are the source for this false report. They have now raised the number by 1.2 million since their last report on Dec. 12th. According to Wikipedia, the German casualties for Operation Barbarossa from June 22, 1941 until Dec. 5, 1941 were:
186,542 killed
40,157 missing
655,179 wounded.

[This would be the German version of the sinking of HMS Galatea by U-557 on Dec. 15th. What the report does not say is that U-557 was sunk with all hands on Dec. 16th. The sinking was an accident, it was rammed by an Italian torpedo boat in error.]
