(The report states that 4,000 Poles were arrested in Vilnius, [Vilna] Lithuania, suspected of being saboteurs. It also states that All Jews in Kiev had been deported to an unknown destination. Furthermore, all Jews in Bohemia and Moravia have been ordered to leave the protectorate.)
Also note the report in column 1: "U-Boat Officer Shot in Escape"
(The report states that the commander of the submarine captured by a Hudson aircraft [U-570] was shot while escaping. The officer, Oberleutnant zur See Bernhard Berndt, was not the commanding officer, but the 1 st . Watch officer.)
