(In order to help the war effort, even though the U.S.A. was not at war, the National Women's Undergarment Manufacturers Association has agreed to shorten women's skirts by several inches. The sacrifices made by the ladies was much appreciated by the men.)

(The Associated Press report states that 6,000 Jews were arrested in Paris. Note that it states they were arrested by Vichy police, not Nazi troops.)

Note the report in column 4: "Russians Have Lost 5,000,000 in War, Nazis Estimate"
(In reports yesterday, the Russianjs claimed that the Germans had lost 1.5 million men, so today the Germans have to top the Russian report. The Russians would have that many casualties by the time the war was over, but at this time, the figures were not close to that.

According to Wikipedia, the total figures for Operation Barbarossa from June 22, 1941 until Dec. 5, 1941 Russian casualties were as follows;

566,852 killed
235,339 died of non-combat causes.
1,336,147 sick or wounded in combat and non-combat.
2,335,482 missing or captured.
Total: 4,473,820. )
