Note the headline: "Britain Smashes Big Hole In Italy's Sea Power - Three of Duce's Crack Destroyers Sunk in Mediterranean Battle"
(In the battle, two Italian torpedo boats, Ariel and Airone were sunk outright and the destroyer, Artigliere, was taken in tow by another Italian warship, but was put adrift when other British warships approached. Artigliere surrendered to HMS York, but scuttled before the British could take control of the ship.)
Also note the report in column 5: "Typhoid In Germany"
