(It appears that the unnamed reporter had a good source, because he wrote; "the threat to invade will be held over us" which is pretty much what Keitel would write in a memo On Oct. 14th; "The Führer has decided that preparations for the landing in Britain are to be kept up from now until spring, MEARLY AS A MEANS OF EXERTING POLITICAL AND MILITARY PRESSURE.")
Also note the report in column 4: "Spain Not To Fight, Says Gayda"
(The fascist editor and propagandist, Virginio Gayda, got another one right. He is starting to have a better record for accuracy in the western press than some of the reporters and news wire services have.)
