Sept. 17, 1996 a North Korean submarine ran aground near Kangnung, South Korea. The crew were on a mission to attack the international economic summit in South Korea and were armed with a great deal of weaponry including rocket launchers and almost 200 machine guns and other weapons. When she grounded the crew and the commandos knew their mission had been compromised and the killing began. Ten were shot by a crewman who then killed himself, seven were executed by South Korean troops, four others were found shot to death, two were never found and one was captured. |
