November 8, 1930 the Fubuki class destroyer Oboro was launched at the Sasebo Navy Yard in Sasebo, Japan. Oboro would end her career on the bottom of the Bering Sea after being bombed by USAAF B-26's. The destroyer Hatsuharu found only 17 survivors in the freezing water. |
