June 7, 1907 The Lusitania was launched at John Brown & Co. Glasgow. Lusitania was 762' long with a beam of 87'. She displaced over 31,000 tons and could accommodate over 2,000 passengers. On May 7, 1915 Lusitania was sunk by a single torpedo fired by SMS U-20. She went down near the Old Head of Kinsale Ireland in 18 minuets taking with her 1,198 lives.
