Caringbah War Memorial |

Caringbah, New South Wales, Australia |
The Caringbah War Memorial, located in a small park at the junction of The Kingsway and President Ave. Caringbah, in southern suburban Sydney. The sandstone memorial was established in 1935 as a gift to the Sutherland Shire. It was presented by Amy Mackay, whom I believe (but cannot confirm) is related to Lt. General Sir General Iven Mackay (1882 - 1966) who served with distinction during the Great War and again (after establishment of this memorial) in World War II. |
