Batemans Bay War Memorial

The Batemans Bay War Memorial is located in the public open space near the town centre on the shores of the Clyde River.  The obelisk commemorates the volunteers from the Batemans Bay District who served with the Australian Imperial Forces in WW1 during the years 1914 to 1917.  It lists the names of those who served in this and other conflicts.

A separate memorial wall adjacent to the obelisk has brass plaques commemorating all conflicts in which the local service personal have served, from the Boer War through to peace keep operations in East Timor.
