April 13, 1899 at the Blyth Shipbuilding Company the steamer Warwick was launched. She was christened by Miss Dolly Cookson and went into the water without incident. In 1914 the Warwick Steamship Company sold her to Palgrave Murphy & Company of Dublin and she was renamed City of Bremen. On Apr. 4, 1915 SMS U-24 torpedoed the ship sending her to the bottom with four of her crew. |
