The Pembroke Dockyard in Wales launched the cruiser Cornwall on October 29, 1902. She served through the Great War and was one of the ships involved in the Battle of the Falkland Islands in which the Admiral Spee's German squadron was destroyed. HMS Cornwall was scrapped in 1920.
