Daily Event for January 17, 2010

On or about Jan. 16, 1940 the Swedish cargo ship Andalusia sailed from Bordeaux, France for Göteborg, she sent a signal by wireless on Jan. 21, that was the last anyone ever heard of or saw her again. While it is thought that the ship was sunk by a U-boat, possibly U-55, this has not been confirmed, Andalusia and her twenty-one man crew are still missing.
