Daily Event for February 25

One of the three ships sunk by SMS U-50 on Feb. 25, 1917 was the T & J Harrison ship Huntsman, I don't
have any other details about the loss. Harrison was still in business when the next war came along and they
had another ship named Huntsman which was launched in 1921. This Huntsman was also sunk by the Germans,
but not by a U-boat. She was captured by the cruiser Admiral Graf Spee on Oct. 17, 1939 and sunk three days
later, her crew was put on the Altmark and rescued by HMS Cossack on Feb. 16, 1940, there were no casualties
on the latter, but two men were killed during the loss of the former.
