June 19, 1915: Launch of Arizona at the New York Naval Shipyard in Brooklyn, New York.



Dec. 25, 1916: USS Arizona in the East River, New York. The ship is seen festooned with Christmas trees which were provided by the navy for the men who had to remain aboard over the holiday (others had been given ten days Christmas leave.) The evergreens can be seen atop the cage masts, on the bowsprit and the stern flagpole as well as other places. Arizona was in New York to repair a damaged turbine at the New York Naval Shipyard.



1917: USS Arizona seen in the Atlantic during gunnery practice.



January 1920: USS Arizona seen at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
