June 6, 1942: The USS Hammann DD-412 sinks after being torpedoed by the I-168. Seen from
the USS Yorktown CV-5. Hammann was providing power and assistance to a salvage crew
who reboarded the Yorktown in an attempt to save the ship. Yorktown was soon hit by a
torpedo from the I-168 and she sank the following day.
