September 16, 1944: USS Ticonderoga CV-14 seen off San Diego, California.



July 1, 1944: Ensign J. G. Fraifogl of VF-80 bails out of his burning F6F-5 (58613) on board the USS Ticonderoga CV-14 after the belly fuel tank fell from the aircraft on landing and exploded.



November 5, 1944: USS Ticonderoga CV-14 off the Philippines.



January 21, 1945: USS Ticonderoga CV-14 after being hit by two Kamikaze aircraft off Formosa (Taiwan).
Over 140 of her crew were killed in the attack.
