My dad came to Barrow in Furness to pick up the zwaardvisch when she was first built by Vickers. I was hoping you could help with the crew list, or where she served. As my dad died in 1982 we only have folklore to go on. He was born in Bandung, Indonesia in 1924. We have no idea where he went until 1948 when he went to Makassar, but again folklore has it as he was with the American army as an interpreter. We do have an old photograph of dad in his uniform. he looks very young, perhaps 17. Our mother now has Alzheimer's so she is of no help. It's just a shot in the dark that you may know where we would go next.
