Note

Gneisenau was damaged Feb. 27, 1942 in an RAF air raid on Kiel and sent to Gotenhafen (Gdynia), Poland for reconstruction. Construction was cancelled and she was sunk as a blockship at Gotenhafen on Mar. 28, 1945.
