Daily Event for September 21


Sept 21, 1918 the cargo ship Staithes was sunk in the North Sea off Sunderland, England by SMS UB-115.
The ship was built at Palmers in 1893 and had a gross registered tonnage of 336. The master and three
crewmen were lost. I have been unable to locate further details about the ship or the sinking.
