August 28, 1993 the HMAS Collins SSG-73 was launched at the Australian Sub. Corp. in Osborne, South Australia. Collins is 255' long and displaces 3,553 tons submerged. The first in her class, Collins and her sisters are the only submarines active in the Royal Australian Navy. |
