Andrew Jackson Kirksey

Andrew J. Kirksey from Reynolds, Georgia enlisted in the Navy on July 1, 1942. He was twenty five when he joined the crew of the PT-109 on May 1, 1943. He was killed when the Amagiri rammed the PT-109 on August 2, 1943, his body was never found. He left behind a wife, Cloye Ann and a son, Jack, who was born in October 1942.
