Sunk Nov. 13, 1942 in the First Naval Battle of Guadalcanal. Torpedoed by Japanese
destroyer Amatsukaze (Cdr. Tameichi Hara) and damaged. Later on the same day she
was torpedoed by I-26 (Cdr. Minoru Yokota) and sunk.

Location: South Pacific, 30mi W of Apaora, San Cristobal Island, Solomon Islands.
