(This story was determined to be false and you can read that in the following paper. After some research, I was not able to find any reference to such an order or even a mention of the SS Iroquois in the official German documents that I have.)
Also note the report at bottom: "French Tanker Rams U-boat"
(A false report, no U-boat was sunk by the French to this date.)
Note the Black-out and Motor Lights Out times listed under the name of the paper.
