(The identification of the ship was made by the commanding officer of HMS Spearfish, Lt. Commander Forbes, but he was incorrect, the ship he had torpedoed was Lützow. Admiral Scheer was at Wilhelmshaven under refit, which British intelligence should have known. Lützow (ex-Deutschland) was out of action until March 1941.)

(The Dies committee investigating American communists who, under orders of Stalin in Moscow, had planned to disrupt supplies going from the U.S.A. to our Allies in England.)
