Take serious note of the final paragraph in the series;

"Without that unselfish devotion to the interest of the community at large, all democracies are bound to end in a dictatorship. That is the great lesson which the history of the last 3000 years teaches us, beyond the vestige of a doubt."

Now ask yourself, if the current democrat administration is truly "unselfishly devoted" to the "community at large" or is it devoted to itself and their craven lust for power and control? If the former is true we should do well.

However, if;
Inviting and assisting hundreds of thousands of foreign nationals (largely untested for COVID 19 or any other disease) to cross an open border into "the community at large" and allowing, even mandating COVID infected foreigners be released into the "community at large," while restricting the movements of American citizens,

if causing the loss of tens of thousands of American jobs by restricting energy flow and drilling,

if imposing absurd environmental regulations upon the citizens, (The Paris Agreement.)

if the unchecked spending of trillion upon trillions of dollars, which we don't have, to bail out failed democrat state governments, sent to foreign dictatorships and to fund pet projects of the politicians who vote for these bills,

if attacking the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America in an attempt to restrict the RIGHT of an American to own a gun and to protect themselves,

if a President of the United States openly states that "no amendment to the Constitution is absolute" [Joe Biden] and governs by executive order, by-passing congress,

if attacking the police by reducing funding and releasing criminals into "the community at large" without bail,

if attacking women by mandating that men with gender dysphoria must be allowed to participate in women's sports, (.003% to .006% of the population have this mental disorder, but the rights and concerns of 99.004% of the normal population are of no concern,) use women's locker rooms, showers and bathrooms,

if increasing America's dependence on foreign oil from countries who view us unfavorably,

if accusing half of the American electorate of being "domestic terrorists" or "white supremacists" and suggesting that they be "deprogrammed" from the "cult of Trump" because the party in charge does not like who they voted for,

if a disgraced former FBI director [James Comey] states on national television that impeaching the President is not enough, because it lets the American people off the hook (for who they voted for), [indicating that he believes the American people who voted for Trump should be punished in some way,]

if ignoring and even encouraging domestic terrorist groups like antifa or black supremacists groups like black lives matter, who have attacked and murdered police officers, killed more than 20 people and have done over one BILLION dollars in damage to major American (democrat run) cities,

if top democrat officials, who are possibly compromised by the communist Chinese government and not removed from their positions, (Eric Swalwell, Dianne Feinstein possibly Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and even Joe Biden himeslf,)

if a fawning left wing press refuses to ask tough questions of a democrat official,

if an administration hides a president, who is obviously in severe mental and physical decline, from the public (just like every communist dictatorship has done in the past,)

If all of the above is considered "unselfish devotion to the interest of the community at large" then we can look forward to a very bleak future.
