December 5, 1772: The Spanish frigate Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe was wrecked on Chinchorro Reef off the
Mexican coast. Also known as La Tetis she was on her way from Honduras back to Spain carrying twenty nine
chests of silver. In the aftermath of the wreck twenty six chests of silver were recovered. What happened to
the other three, I have no idea.
